Blogging is strange..

Here I am, sitting at my kitchen table trying to think back from the last blog I posted. My two children are napping. So I am taking advantage of my time not cleaning, but blogging! I'll clean later hehe

This was them the other day, I just thought it was a cute picture and I wanted to share it!!!

I'm trying to shed some pounds for my sisters wedding in August, 30 to be exact! 5lb/month that's not terrible... I miss my jeans from before i had Li'l Gal So I've cut down to 1 piece or brown bread with some peanut butter and 1 banana. And my coffee of course without sugar, just cream. Fun right?

Blogging is strange. I haven't been

doing it for very long. And here is what I've learnt so far.

-If you want to make a blog right away in order to make money, well, it's harder then it seems or then Ive heard. They have restrictions, like you have to have written over 20 posts, and they judge weather its good enough content.. I'm not 100% sure how they decide, but I've given up on that idea.. I just do it for fun, and to maybe bless people.

-How do you get enough content? Well, if you stay home all the time and never do anything original with your time, then it's pretty hard to come up with topics that are interesting. You have to make it a point to do fun/different/creative things. Which is a good motivator.

-Don't worry about "WHO WILL READ MY STUFF??" I've learnt that there are people out there that look for videos of people playing video games. And they watch them play. That's it. To me that seems pretty boring, but everyone is different and have different interests. SO there is bound to be 1 person out there that might like what I have to say. (And I know for a fact there are, but I guess its an insecurity thing, I don't know...) Just because I'm not a big reader, does not mean everyone doesn't read too...

-It is importuned to have a blog post schedule so your readers know when they can go and read it. For example: every Friday. I've failed at this for many weeks now, I think what I need to do is have my tablet opened with my blog page opened, so it's staring at me in the face, then I'm reminded to do it! And to not be overly stressed out if you don't make the dead line. Life goes on...

That's about all I can think of right now...
Since I have missed a few weeks, I will share the things that stood out to me.

Before our dear Nanny Luba left for home, Jonny, Li'l Gal and I were able to spend some fun at Victoria park. Li'l Guy was in the car sleeping and Nanny offered to stay with him. She is generous.

The parent/child swings are the best! Although I get dizzy very quickly on them, Li'l Gal LOVE's them! I quickly traded places with Jonny boy before my lunch was all over my daughter.

I was able to spend some time painting on a few treasures that Nanny found. I think they turned out ok!
I personally like the birch tree painted on the piece roof strapping the best.

Li'l Gal  and I made a snow man. I thought I would show it because its pretty scary and Li'l Gal had mixed feelings about it. Now he is all melted and his legs and arms and nose are on the grass. She always asks "Where is my snow man?!"

I had a pair of jeans that had a hole in them, I thought I'd copy this idea from a pair of jeans my friend Heather has that I really like! I only had to iron the fabric on with some "Hem fuse" that I bought at Fabric Vill for 3.49$ That roll will last me for a life time! I've used it for so many lazy fabric projects!
I think they turned out pretty ok!

Jonny boy and Li'l Gal are making the wine for my sister Melanie's wedding. "Merlot!"  She enjoys spending time with her Daddy. He is a good daddy!

Every Tuesday I go to my sister in law's house, Jenny, for tea. We have fun with all 10 cousins and Auntie Naomi. Every other Tuesday I'm the girls art teacher. One Tuesday we painted birdhouses from the Dollar store. Li'l Gal enjoyed herself quite a bit. This was her first real painting experience!

She also enjoys playing with "skunk" their Ginni pig!

Here are the pictures we have painted so far in our class.  I don't have all of them, but here are is most of them!

I sadly only have a picture of two of these guinea pigs! They were hilariously cute!

And finally, this week's painting, birch trees!

My students are the best!

As I was driving home the other day, I found this baby in someones garbage. I took her home and Jonny boy and I cleaned and fixed her up like new! she had a broken back. I was SOOOOOO excited to find her and I stuffed her in the back of our SUV with our double stroller and my poor toddler confused as to what mommy was doing. I think God saw that I was so excited about someones junk he mush have shrunk the recliner or made my SUV bigger just until I got home Because I have to clue how she fit! I'm just glad no one saw me trying to fit her in the trunk! haha
I will put my new baby in Li'l guy's room one day when he has one!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST!

As I was saying before, I have been trying to eat healthier. Less sugar, less starches. more exercise... I got this awesome fish recipe from Jason and Naomi Sante. And I will share it because it's awesome. It is healthy because it is fish, but  if you take all the buttery sauce and poor it all over your rice and veggies maybe its counter productive?? Oh well, one meal at a time...
Here it is!!:

Backed Haddock

Backed Haddock

-2 Lb Hillock Fillets. (Any white fish is good, I haven't tried with red, but I'm sure it would be good too!)

-1/4 TSP     Pepper
-1/8 TSP     Salt
-3 TBLS      Butter melted
-1/2 TSP      Lemon juice
-2                 Garlic cloves minced
-1/2 TSP      Parsley
-3/4 TSP      Tarragon (Which I didn't have)
-1/2 TSP      Paprika

Mix everything in a bowl, spread on both sides of fish. (my fish was frozen)

Bake 350 for 25 to 30 minutes until the fish pulls apart easily.  (I added 1/2 cup of water because I doubted there would be enough liquid, but there was plenty, and I had plenty to add on my rice).

Enjoy and until next time!!
